I support a small creative LLC with design deliverables as a freelancer. They provide SMBs and content creators with branding and marketing materials; the LLC is my client. After nearly three years, I just found out they are, in few words, transphobic; after this year, they will no longer do pride designs (because FoxNews, idk). While Indian consulting folks supporting the US folks do the bulk of the analysis, churning out the data and making the ppts, all the US folks do is attend meetings. Most of know basics of neither Alteryx, Power BI nor Tableau, while everyone in India is expected to know all the three. Most of the times we are expected to work till their afternoon (our Midnight)

I’ve been a freelance print production designer for many years, and usually on-site in the before times. Now I work remote, and am finding it uneasy dealing with billing. Before I always billed hourly, which made sense, but it’s becoming an issue now. Some companies don’t have a full days’ work, so it seems wrong to bill full days, and it allows me to juggle projects for different companies, but my billable hours are down. I know I should bill a daily rate, but not sure that will fly. Thoughts?
