Lol, true. Analyst price targets do not make sense to me either they are conservative or aggressive and way off.
Analyst price targets aren't going to help much from a trading perspective since they rely on fundamental analysis often with a 1 year outlook
Those analysts targets are mostly background noise. If you really want to question your sanity, listen to the audio of some earnings calls when the analysts ask questions of a company's financial team. Some of the questions are so ill-informed and off the wall. And the company execs give word salad answers and everyone seems to think it's great.
Listened to one company going through a really really tough time financially. And one of the analysts asked if they're going to acquire another company in the near future. Like bro this company is barely profitable they need to focus on themselves!
So true!
I use it for a sanity check. Especially after earnings to gauge direction of upgrades and targets.
Then, when I lose money, it’s insanity.
There are some analysts that have better strike rates or appear to anyway.
Yup. That’s the way.
I don’t care about analysts pricing or what YouTubers say. They’re all noise and YouTubers are really getting you to go into trades for themselves - do they can sell high and leave everyone else holding the bag
