It’s the market. Not you.
Go into strategy. You might not have the skillsets for it, but I bet you could get interviews if you spun it as something you have a passion or knack for.
Also many strategy people are failed creatives… so there is added value in being able to say you are a creative who does strategy.
The market is abysmal. It isn’t you. Agencies don’t want to pay CD salaries anymore
Also, strategy teams need good writers who can think conceptually and provide actionable feedback to creatives. By the way, I am not shitting on strategy, but there is an element to it that can involve coming up with the bad version of the ad you generally need to make, which might be something you excel in.
You could find a CD who you really admire their work and see if you could work for them in a senior/acd position? I think someone once said, if you’re the best in the room you’re in the wrong room. Use your experience to get yourself in the room with someone who you could really learn from and level up your work so you’re meeting your own standards.
The fact that you’re even having these self doubts probably indicates you’re a good creative, most of the bad creatives i’ve met are relentlessly arrogant.
It’s also just the market right now, could be a good time to look at different opportunities and paths!

I doubt it’s all about your creative ability. There are so many factors to getting hired: your portfolio, your personality, the economy, ageism, etc. Don’t beat up on yourself. Do you have any other interests career-wise you could switch toward? It may be a process but there are paths out there.
You’re not a terrible creative. You either are creative, or not creative. And I believe most fall into the former. But the issue here is you are judging your creativity based on one sectors idea of it. Someone, somewhere else, may qualify ‘creative’ very differently, and there…. You might be king/queen/in-between, of creativity.
