Try Toastmasters
Record yourself speaking in a meeting and listen to it, type out word for word what you said, then edit what you typed as if you got another chance to say it. Compare than to the original, You’ll see which filler words are unnecessary and where you went off track.
Listening to yourself is painful at first, but once you get used to it it’s not bad and often you realize you were being too hard on yourself
Are you considering what information is relevant for your target audience.
Following! I am an aspiring consultant and have the same issue
This may not the answer to your issue. But when I was struggling with a similar issue, the best advice I received was to decide/set the outcome you want to achieve from the meeting or the person, and then plan your conversation/speech based on that outcome. This method keeps you on track and prevents other people from confusing or distracting you from the main topic. Especially, during any negotiation ;))
start small. put yourself in assignments where you’re presenting to your internal team/colleague on your thought process, gradually till you can present to your skip level, then to 1 client, a small group of clients, then a whole business review meeting. along the way, always as for feedback on what worked and could be better.
i also recommend recording your meetings and listening back to hear your stutters, pace, errs and umms. very cringe but super helpful
