It sounds like mck reduced benefits and op wanted to complain and gather info in one post.
Not understanding OP...we have great benefits
We get track suits! Match that mckinsey!
Just to be clear, we get 12% automatic contribution to retirement and a Cadillac health plan that’s $15/month for an entire family. All the track suits and fitness credits do not compare.
Lol pwc2 you acquired a full firm of arrogant and condescending people :)
Ignore my colleague A3, it is the world and era of MBBA
I’ll be the fourth McK poster to be confused...explain yourself OP
So are the mck benefits worse now?
🤔
The main benefit is we have fewer arrogant and condescending people like OP (but not none)
...
500 dollars for fitness related purchases, remote Fridays, 4 months leave policy to take care of a sick family member (and that time period is excluded from utilization), can expense food even if local to the GAA code provided I work 10 hours that day, can do the same for weekends if I work 4 hours on Sat or Sun. 10k tuition reimbursement per year for any grad degree. GSAP program to fully cover a full time MBA. Expanded annual tuition program to fully cover the cost of a part time MBA provided 3 partners in my practice area sign off on it. Deloitte University. Can expense lunches to counseling code as well. Discounts at my local mall. Competitive salary (6 figures by 25 in my practice provided you're a solid performer). Salary won't increase much unless I go back and get a MBA and switch to Monitor Deloitte.
Yeah we have kick ass healthcare that we pay almost nothing for ($25/mo covers my family of 4 at $100 individual/$300 family deductible and $1000 individual/$5000 family max out of pocket costs for medical, dental, and vision). I also got 20 weeks of paid maternity leave last year AND 3 months of short term disability leave paid at 100%. I also make a six figure salary that doesn’t start with a 1 and I get 7% ON TOP of that to my 401k. So boo freaking hoo that it use to be 12% and is now only 7% to the 401k and the other 5% is now cash in hand. OP needs to grow up.
Dude, just be grateful. Grass isn't greener here
Up to &50K for adoption
You’re literally getting the other 5% in cash though. Our benefits are also really excellent comparatively. Notice it’s not 7% match, it’s 7% on top of your pay.
Umm what?
Um we get $500 a year reimbursed for any fitness related items we buy....but that's about it in terms of extra benefits lol
The benefits will always be better at MBB because they are smaller in size. Nothing about prestige but the bigger firms will have less out of the ordinary benefits because of the large overhead cost
I'm a high performer and was pissed about my bonus and raise this year, but then I calculated out the value of 2 weeks of antepartum leave and 16 weeks of maternity leave and felt better about life. EY has some pretty fantastic benefits if you're in a position to take advantage of them. No student loan reimbursement though, which could be better.
