I thought about leaving Big 4 last year, even had some interviews lined up, but I got scared and stayed. I told myself I’d get one more promotion, then leave. But now I’m watching people who did leave get promoted, paid, and (at least from what I can see) genuinely happy. I feel like I missed my window, and now I’m stuck in a role that drains me. How do you know when it’s actually the right time to go?

Anyone have situational depression? Can’t stop beating myself up over a decision a year ago. Basically missed out on a massive amount of money. I know this seems trite and i never even cared thatt much about money before this year.

So many other good things happened to me this year - got married, got a puppy, moved etc, and yet the one thing i keep returning to is this decision as though i ruined my life. Ironically the only thing ruining my life is my outlook and yet i just can’t stop.

Practiced self control today. Went to my AD to pick up my wife’s new watch and did not purchase a watch for myself. I did try on the peacock, which looks amazing in person. They also had a ming 17.09 and the SLA037 that tempted me. I think that calls for extra drinks tonight.

My fiancé and I both have the CSR card and Freedom Unlimited combo and love them. We are thinking of adding another card and we were considering the Amex Platinum (to diversity transfer partners) or likely a United card for lounge access since we live in Chicago.

Does anyone else have both CSR and Amex Platinum? Would you recommend?

I applied for a job and received an offer from my client. 15k+ bump in salary, better benefits/remote work, and responsibilities will give me exposure to all areas of the organization (start up). The problem is that they’re looking to staff me as a Senior when I’m currently a Manager at DT. They said they’re flexible on title, but curious to hear how others have navigated similar situations. I would report directly to the controller and have 1-2 staff reporting to me...
