I want to pivot my career to Data Engineer. Currently I'm working on a support project. I have 3.6 YOE with multiple prj experience. I self-taught SQL, Python, Azure(DE stack) n some big data, but never worked in data fields ever before.

Tried to do some DIY projects as well but due to lack of guidance and poor planning, couldn't succeed.

What else should I do to prove/improve my expertise? Can any experienced data profesional share any tips, it would be really helpful.

The CW that I’d work the longest with (for about 3 years) had just being promoted to ECD on a big cool shop after very good run. Meanwhile I was just promoted to ACD at an OK medium shop after a very torturous run that almost made me quit ad life for good.

Got laid off in tech corp dev making 250-300 all in. Have an offer to join a fairly new family office investment team in PE buyouts but will be a fairly significant cash pay cut vs what I was making in tech corp dev. I’ve always been interested in doing investing. All things being equal, is there better upside to take the fam office to do PE (at a pay cut for now), or go do another corp dev job? 6-7 YOE

So, the CDC removed the Covid guidelines. I’ve never had Covid. I’m afraid people will come into work not wearing a mask and be inconsiderate… ughhh so distracting and disgusting. I need some advice, I left Infosys on 27th Jan, I had an offer from Accenture to join them on 28th Jan. However just on my last working day itself, I got an offer from wabtec, it's not a service based org, so I thought I should give it a go. However their DOJ is on 14th feb. They have to complete BGV.
Now the only other offer I have is from TCS to join them on 2nd Feb, I'm a bit scared as to is it a good idea to say no to tcs and stay unemployed in pursuit of working with wabtec?
