Has anyone exited consulting to buying a small business? Eg commercial cleaning, well drilling, etc. Was it worth it?

I am thinking about it; to buy a franchise ( Goddard, kindercare, etc.)

I'd check out searchfunder.com if you're interested in this. Most people use it for the search process, but the network will include new owner-operators who could speak from experience

Yes, I was chewed up in the Great Recession of 2009 and opened a business through a franchise. Did that for 10 years and bought another franchise and now I consult with people and match them with franchise businesses. I enjoy the control and independence of being a small business owner.

I did it! I got an in-house Paralegal position after years of working and being burned out at different law firms. I was going to leave the legal field all together because I was so burned out and depressed, but I decided to give the field one more chance if I was able to go in-house. Prayerfully, this transition will be a good one.

Feel like I’ve come to a point in my consulting career where I’ve reached the end of what this job can provide me, career-wise and as an opportunity for personal/professional development.
