This message has been around since the latest injunction. It's pretty vague, but it seems like they're just covering their bases while things are up in the air. Some IDR plans are at risk, and they're trying to stay on top of everything as the court case unfolds. The numbers might not be entirely accurate, though. The servicers are juggling a lot...moving borrowers between different types of forbearances and trying to keep up with all the changing information.
Everything about student loans especially federal student loans is a mess right now and up in the air. I don’t know what to trust or believe if you had any kind of student loan forgiveness in the past couple years it’s probably being reversed. Hopefully if you have it and you’ve just been paying off your debt Just a glitch in the system. If you got any kind of forgiveness it’s probably coming back at you hard.
