I wasn’t fired, but I was put on a PIP, and then resigned mid way through it. The project I was on wasn’t a good fit for me and I was dealing with some personal issues that affected my work output and quality. To explain why I left the company, Can I just say in interviews that my contract/project I was on at my fed contracting company was affected by DOGE and that’s why I left? Or is an employer going to try to verify that/will it come back to bite me?

I work heavily in AWS and am looking to learn another cloud platform. I have zero knowledge of azure and gcp and would like input on which to learn. Azure would make sense since its the second largest in terms of market share, but GCP seems far more interesting and technically challenging with things like Kubernetes and BigQuery.
