I went over to a friend's house and he had an impressive projector setup. Looked at a 1080P projector Epson, an electric screen, and a 80-100 inch 1080P screen. Anyone have a setup like this?

I've been curious about this as well. I am currently finishing my basement and need to know what diameter width is typical for a stripper pole. Any suggestions? Also, do you have any reinforcement tips for this? I just need it prepared for when Mike Damone visits because he insists on "healthy" dancers.

Curious about this too. In the next couple of months, I'm likely buying two 70" Sharp Aquos Quattron LED TVs, but one of the rooms is dark enough that I could go with a projector...Not to hijack, but I'm also thinking of just doing two Bose 2.1 channel "virtual surround" systems, instead of doing true surround sound (as it would be a pain in the ass in both rooms running the rear channels). Anyone have experience with a 2.1 virtual surround (specifically Bose would be helpful, but any is fine).

like

Projectors aren't to be used for everyday tv watching. So if that is what you plan on doing then just buy a tv because the lamps are like $400....But if you are only going to use the projector occasionally then you will probably be fine.

like

Not sure about 2.1, but I've had a Bose 1-2-3 system for 10+ years. It isn't quite as good as true surround sound, but for the cost and ease of installation, I have been happy with it.

^ this used to be true but not so anymore. Lamp prices have come way down and last a lot longer.

I have one on 120 inch screen and watch it every day

CFP study programs:

I'm a little confused on Danko - does he offer a self-study option for the coursework requirement? On his website it looks like each module has a 4-day virtual class which I wouldn't be able to attend due to working full time. Does this program also include self-study material, and the classes are just supplementary/optional? I was also looking at Dalton for self-study and Danko for test prep. Thoughts?

TIA
