I went to Config last week and had a blast. I had great conversations with other designers and fell in love with product design again. Now its Sunday and I’m catching up on messages and am feeling dejected again. I spend so little time actually designing, but instead spend my trying to get alignment from stakeholders or compromising and appeasing them. It drains my energy and the excitement I felt last week is gone. Anyone else deal with this? How do you keep your passion/sanity?

I've recieved an offer from Morgan Stanley, my previous salary was around 6 Lpa and last offered was around 15 Lpa (WFH), I quoted 40 to 45% on top of that around 22 Lpa considering Mumbai location, WFO and Glassdoor pay range.
Did I just do a mistake by quoting too high a number? Please let me know your opinions.

Recently was interviewed for a Sr. role in Booking but unfortunately the team finds me better suited as a core individual contributor.

I am also in the advanced stages of some lead designer positions in other companies.

However I am really interested in joining the team at Booking, especially because of the design culture.

What's the protocol for adding internal portal mockups for a client to your portfolio? Is it expected, something that requires asking permission but is still generally OK, or frowned upon? I'm a developer trying to pivot to UX.

I thought that was my job as the ux designer to figure out the best way to solve a need. But I’m getting handed projects where the PO, and sometimes the senior designer has laid out exactly what should happen (components used, flow, etc) to design a feature. It’s really frustrating because I don’t know if I’m supposed to be speaking up on what I think or just do the UI work I’m asked to.
