McKinsey & Company How likely is McKinsey to rescind an offer if there's a recession/downturn before my start date? Received an Associate offer with a start date early in the Fall. But I'm worried about the offer being rescinded due to the ongoing McK scandals/issues and a potential recession in the making (which may prompt them to freeze hiring and/or renege offers).
Has this happened to anyone before at McKinsey, offer getting rescinded due to economic/company downturn? A bit worried

About to head to the HC for a role in ProdOps and Strategy in Mountain View. 4 YoE at MBB, no competing offers. Recruiter gave me a form that asks expected comp.
Levels.fyi has only PM salaries. I haven’t been told the level but expect it to be L4.
What total comp would you expect for this role? Any advice would be super helpful, as I’m a bit lost.

After submitting my resume for the Global Finance and Business Management full time position at JP Morgan (my dream job!), I got a HireVue invite the next day! However, I completed it 9 days ago and still have no response....
When do we get a response in average, and after how much time does it mean I probably am not getting an offer to continue?
Thanks!

Honestly, possibly. Some employers really care about misdemeanors. I think you'd have to have a good case for why it's not going to affect your job performance, and what you've done to resolve the issue in your life. I would practice explaining my reasoning for why it won't affect my job performance before heading into interviews.
Misdemeanors? Is this the result of voice-to-text posting? I believe it would depend on what the actual charges were. And when they happened. Some charges may be minor, but they could indicate behavioral issues that some organizations might consider a red flag.
It depends on what the misdemeanors are for. Misdemeanors cover a wide array of charges, including theft, which would definitely preclude you from being hired. It is not the number of misdemeanors as much as it is. The type of misdemeanor charge that is important here.
I would definitely follow the advice of recruiter. One blow me here and address your background upfront.During the interview. Not saying anything comes across as if you're trying to hide it. And that's never good address what they will find and explain yourself as best you can. Hiring managers are people too, and they understand sometimes things happen in life that no would be proud of. Do yourself a favor and pull your own background info to be certain of what they will find. Most states let you do this for free online. Go to your states .gov website and search for criminal records and follow the instructions.
