"Keep me honest on this one"
Microsoft is hiring an account executive and I’m really interested in the role. I have B2B sales experience in a different industry, but my skills include lead generation, prospecting, account management, negotiating, etc (all within the C Suite and other decision makers).
Would appreciate knowing if this is something I have a shot at with no tech sales experience and what I could expect for promotional opportunities and compensation.
Thanks for the help!

Sometimes I treat tough edits like gym workouts. They’re uncomfortable, but they make you stronger. That said, it’s fair to step back and ask: was the criticism really about the work, or was the editor in a mood? It’s okay to question that, too.
I have had edits that felt like gut punches, especially when I cared deeply about the piece. What helps me is stepping back once the sting fades and asking, “What part of this actually helps me grow?” You can be good and still get torn apart
I have been there, and it cuts deep when you care. One edit does not define your worth or your skill.
