Hey guys, Since I am working in Deloitte and right now, I am working from home. I want to go Nepal for 2 months and I want to work from there. Do I need to tell my manager or simply I can go there and start my work. Is there any obligation?
Note- I don't want to tell anyone. Since it may backfire sometimes
How much would my tech stack and language be a factor in getting selected in faang or good product based companies?
I'm asking from getting my resume selected to getting an offer.
I read everywhere that only DSA and system design is needed, but I'm still concious about my tech stack.
YOE: 5 years
Tech stack: .NET backend and sql server
Language I'm comfortable with: C#

Cool are in SAP as well ? And what months at level are they bringing you in at?
I did a similar move years ago. I was an experienced SM (3+ years) and joined as an experienced SM here in Strat which enforces up and out. Here are my thoughts:
A) Come at a SM level and build your network and case to MD. It’ll take sometime to understand ACN. Learn and unlearn things....it’s not about getting to MD it’s about being successful there.
B) Comp and offer seems decent. But you can prolly push them a bit more on RSU and sign on given the job market...even if you can’t. It’s decent.
Lastly welcome to the firm!
Thanks. Is an ACN SM more like an IBM AP ?
My first impression is that this is a lateral move from a seniority standpoint:
SM @ IBM —> SM @ Accenture
Why not go for Managing Director? In terms of comp it seems like a solid package, the RSUs seem generous but you probably have some room with your sign on.
I’m joining Accenture next month as a M (L7).
Best of luck! 🍀
Not great...few small accounts here and there. But its a good company. Just need to get back to being big blue
No SAP. Tech strategy and I don’t know the answer to your second question, months at level? Hmm maybe I should know that. Can you share more? I know that I’m at a M3 level which is the higher tier of that level
Ah! This is so helpful and not something I discussed with my recruiter. It was presented as M3 with a fast track to SM within a year but I’ll clarify. It was also interesting the offer letter has the role as M and the title as SM so need to clarify that as well. I’ll touch base with you once I have an update!
Negotiate more RSU and sign on, they can probably do better. less room to negotiate base
ACN 1 - Really insightful! I’m coming in as a M3 and very excited to join the firm. What does “enforcing up and out” mean?
IBM - still waiting to hear from my recruiter regarding the “months at level” that’s still unclear to me. I though M1: 12 months M2: 24, M3: 36 and at the M3 level you’d then be expected to move to SM within a year or two? stay tuned
