If I have to explain the concept of materiality to one more client who is arguing over a $50 discrepancy, I might actually jump out the window. I used to think I loved the logic of accounting, but the reality is just babysitting adults who can’t keep their receipts in a shoebox. I’m looking at moving into a Treasury or Corporate Development role where I can actually focus on the big picture instead of the weeds. Does anyone in Corp Dev actually value an Audit background though?

Did a first interview with hr rep, went very well. she set up the hiring manager meeting for a few days later. Met with the manager. Another great conversation, went over time and was told I’d hear back about panel set up. Following day I get a request from hr rep to “continue the conversation” with manager. This is set up Tuesday.
Why do you think the manager wants to meet again? Good? Bad? I felt great about the interview when we ended.

Currently I'm in a .net and sql server maintenance and operations project at a service company. I want to switch to a full stack developer position in a good product company. Besides honing my DSA, for skills, should I focus on MERN stack or pure .net development? I'm already familiar with MERN stack and .net core and have made small projects. But they are different and I would like to stick to one path and capitalize on it. Please help which one to choose- MERN or .NET?

Should I leave my first permanent job as a team leader of 4 DPs in a FMCG business (only been there for 4 months) to join a huge Tech business for a 12months contract?

They offer me 60% more money than my permanent role. Circa 2000 dollars every month in my pocket

Hi, where or what types of companies should sophomores & juniors apply for next summer (2022) to recruit for IB the following summer (2023)? This summer BBs wrapped up SA IB recruitment, EBs even earlier, and a fair amount of my friends missed out big time.

Also, if a sophomore or junior doesn’t get a finance-related summer internship (I.e tech) and aims for an IB SA or FT position, is it harder to break in?
