If someone in your family passes away and you need to take the day off to travel to the funeral, do you just take a PTO day or is there a specific WBS?

Look for bereavement leave. Sorry for your loss

like

It's in the myte drop down

like

Lol @ auditing bereavement time. WTF, Accenture?

like

Bereavement leave is in the myTE options. You might have to provide a link to an obit if you happen to get audited.

like

Talk to HR about it, they will know what's available.

Not at Accenture but we have a bereavement leave for this in the case of immediate family members.

D1 I don't think it's that common, but it's good to know in case there's an audit.

Not immediate family, but my uncle, does that change things

I would check with your manager or HR. You should still get some level of bereavement leave. The length also depended on whether the travel involved international flights.

@D1 - with a company as large as ACN, random T&E audits happen and often the fastest way out of the audit email loop is to provide documentation. It's a good pro tip, in the unlikely event you might need it.

Talk to HR and go to the funeral

There is a funeral leave WBS that you can hit for at least a couple days (there's a policy - might even be 4 days/year). No proof required or anything. Sorry for your loss.

I was approached on LinkedIn for an early career recruiting role in DFW, TX. I don't have direct experience, but I have the university experience/connections from working in career services. This is the first time I've considered work outside of higher education. I said my salary expectations are minimum $90k and that didn't seem to be an issue. Am I asking too little, too much? How can I know I'm getting the best salary and not just settling at the low end of the range?

There’s no excuse that by the age of 25 you have never tried therapy. I’m speaking directly to the demographic in this group who I’m sure over 95% of people in here are earning 6 figures. Key word: TRY. I understand it’s not for everyone but to have never even attempted seeking therapy is a injustice to yourself and the people around you.

One of the company asked if i could join as early as in 1.5/2 months where I have 3 months NP and haven't put papers yet .. i asked one of my senior in my team about this who's already resigning...and she has told about this to the entire team 😶. I realise it's my mistake asking her :p
Now that I'm not hearing back from the company which I gave interview and my environment at current project is a mess atm...Should I just put papers or bear with it till I fine another one..??
