If you could ban one type of guest forever, who would it be? For me, it’s the people who snap their fingers or whistle like we’re pets. I get that hospitality means serving with grace, but there’s no excuse for basic disrespect.

The ones on my list would be the stiffs, the real cheapskates who barely tip. Some of them will even give a little speech about how they don't like what's going on with tipping culture. Hey, you don't have to like it, just stay home and you don't need to deal with it.

I have an approved i140 from company A, I got an offer from company B but as per their policy new perm will only be applied after 1 year. Wanted to understand if I can jump to company C if B hasn’t stilled filed from Perm? Also what happens if he files and not approved? Can I use my old i140 from company A to jump to company C?

I work as an AGM in a busy restaurant. Been working there for just over a year, and haven't had a single raise. I now only make 0.50 cents more than even the lowest paid shift lead but I am doing a lot more work. I'm no longer satisfied with these conditions. Check the overtime laws for your state!!

I just recently worked 58.6 hours in a week, weekly pay, nice OT profit right? Depends on where you live.

In Iowa, there is no Overtime pay mandate, the overtime pay is at the discretion of the business. I received 58.6 hours of base pay for the week.

If the company makes less than $1 million per year or does not engage in intercontinental sales, the company is not required to pay the overtime rate of time and a half, just your base rate.
