If you could snap your fingers and change one thing about your job, what would it be?

For me, it would be how decisions are made. I feel like key decisions are made at the top without any input from those doing the work. Authority sits high but accountability is pushed low. That’s an unfortunate issue I’d like to see changed immediately.

I'm the only associate on a case with two partners. The elderly, managing partner thinks that a party has had three prior wrecks, I'm confident that the party only had one. My dad who lives in Asia just announced that he had a medical issue. I’m starting to enter the age where I’m going to take care of him financially. It’s a $2,000 hospital bill which in the US is nothing compared to what it represents there (which he can’t afford). He’s going to be fine! Just wanted to share with this group as many of you can understand what it feels like to support your parents when they’re old, not the other way around. I feel so blessed I can help him. 🙏🏽
