I got an email from a recruiter from PayPal about a position I didn’t apply for. How do I know that? Because on workday you can see all the jobs I applied for. I applied for one position in the company but got reply for another position I am not interested in. The recruiter wants to set up a phone interview? How would you react? Because I would love working there, but not in this position,
Would you say something during the phone call or before?

Starting a new job at Applied Materials on Monday as a Manufacturing Engineer III. I’ve been out of college for 5 years and all of my work experience till now has been in R&D for start ups and small businesses . So not only is this a new experience for me going into such a large company but also a industry (semiconductors). Does anybody has tips or advices on what I should expect as a new hire and how I can set myself up for success? Thanks!
What is “the 71”?
I’m not liking these back to back deadlines 💔
The new company I’m at now sent me an email from an email address that was HR@companyName.careers saying I was accepted for the position. They gave me paperwork to fill out and sign to accept the position
I fill out the paperwork and send it back to them and it goes through… then a few days later I go back to the email to say something else and I get this…?
Then today I got a check from the company In the mail to setup my home office, and it’s signed by someone I’ve never met before or heard of…?
What…..

I would feel awkward if it was 6 months or less but would take the offer best in my interest. I quit on my first day a couple months ago because I got a huge offer and didn’t look back.
You’ve been there for almost a year- that’s pretty normal. Give your manager reasons why you are going elsewhere if you like them, otherwise just be professional.
This is a tricky one always and the fact that you even ask this question shows how much you care and have a sincere heart, that’s a great attitude but hey you need to pay bills and you are always a liability for a corporate, your current company I’m sure wouldn’t mind laying you off if they have to. Take the new job and send a two weeks email mentioning how you are deciding to move to the new job because it aligns with your current interests and future career goals or even just mention how you are trying to move to west coast because of family etc, honestly if they like you they’d be happy for you and hey you are giving them two weeks notice and not quitting the same day, that itself is courteous and polite. Good luck in the new job 🤓
