Yep, I usually go with the one that’s most aligned with my priorities for the day. If both are important, I’ll try to reschedule one, or if I can’t, I’ll join the most time-sensitive one and catch up on the other afterward. I think it's most important to communicate if you won't be at or on time to a meeting with someone.
I agree also. I always let the organizer know if I can't make it, or prepare someone to attend in my place, and try to get a synopsis or follow up later. I wish my direct manager would extend that same courtesy. I can't count how many times they've skipped a meeting they asked me to organize on their behalf, or left me unexpectedly covering for them in someone else's meeting.
Rank by importance, how much or how little it actually applies to me, if basically everything is coming up even, I might just go with whichever one was there first and send my deepest sympathies to the other one. Fortunately I don’t have that a lot, or maybe unfortunately actually..

Does most of your day consist of meetings? Simply curious.
I go by order of priority.
