I'm 18 weeks pregnant with my first, and after no weight gain through 14 weeks (staying at 123 pounds), I suddenly weighed 130 at today's appointment! I've been eating the same way I did when my weight was stable pre-pregnancy, maybe even a bit less some days. I know the bloating and having eaten recently may have added a couple of pounds, but I'm still concerned about the rapid change. Is it normal for weight gain to be uneven like this?

Misled on Maternity Leave Policy. I found out I only get 4 weeks pay for maternity leave (STD +“sick days”). I will take 12 weeks but wont get paid for 8 weeks. I work for a US, west coast based company in the tech/VC industry. Their website claims to offer “paid parental leave and other progressive benefits for parents”. I didn’t find out until after I was hired their pay was only 8 weeks but since I have been at the company less than 12 months, I don’t qualify for their policy. Is this unfair?

I’m around 21 weeks and have been dealing with a lot of leg, tailbone, back, and general muscle pain. I’m having a really hard time with my changing body. 13 weeks, I don’t have too many bad side effects of pregnancy or anything so I consider myself lucky (no nausea ever etc) but I’m depressed at work, my skin is completely broken out and showing new broken face capillaries, and I’m not showing a bump yet so I just feel fat and big. I don’t know where this “glow” is but I look in the mirror and literally am grappling with not recognizing myself :( it’s been impossible to find any clothes too.
