Is HARMAN really recruiting for permanent remote roles? Would they ask us to come to office after sometime? I am a bachelor woman supporting my sickly parents and can't move them out of city. And my city don't have harman office. HR did mention permanent remote, still want to confirm as I've heard many cases people were called back across different product based companies. Bro peace in life matters.
I saw people literally dead infront me due to unhealthy lifestyle, tolerating toxic environment.
If you want growth that's fine then ready for sacrifice lot of things.
It's always your choice.
My advise is look your own life from your perspective not from others.
Remember God has blessed you with your dear ones nearby and a well paid job. At present, there is no job security in the market. Politics is there in most of the companies and it's part of life. Remember God in all your activities, remain positive and neutral at work place. Work well in order that no one points fingers at you. Try to brush aside the politics & do not react to what others are saying.
My experience: I had 4.5 yrs of experience in a product based organisation. I was never aware of office politics but I experienced it. Since, if I have to complete 5 yrs of work experience, since the organisation had to pay a gratuity of 5 to 6 lakhs, the employees working with me were asked to play office politics against me & I was forced to leave my job. Only after leaving the organisation, I did realised it was office politics that forced me to take the decision.
The worst scenario, they even tried to tarnish my character. Life has given me the strength to overcome any more office politics. Still I am without a job though I have cleared 2 rounds of Technical interviews, HR round & client interviews in 8 companies. But none of them are releasing the offer letter. Some companies are releasing only conditional offer letter.
Hence, remain positive with your job and learn the lessons of life too overcome the situation. All the best in all your endeavours!
If you want more salary you may need to give up some of the things. If you are okay with that then try aggressively for higher salary. But in the end you will always find someone earning higher than you at your age.
Well. I got into fitness really well in last few months and gained well maintained chiseled physic. And save a lot in petrol and time.
So all in all sometimes I feel like is it worth trying to switch or stay stable.
Chief
There is no end to rat race.. Be at peace..
Have goals in life and work towards goals not earning money. Money is means not the goal. For example I need to earn money to build home, save for higher studies, build family, save for future etc.
I think I’d be happy if I were in your place. Peace is far more important than anything else. You’re doing what many people wish they could—spending quality time with family and focusing on fitness. Those things are truly important nowadays.
You made me blush.
I agree to most of the part mate. 🤭
But sometimes I feel low. That’s all.
Don't compare, it kills the joy.
I earn 27 lpa with 7 yoe.
Think I should earn 36 but market is not doing good.
Now, fun part is I am 33 and wasted 4 years after graduation.
No as a 29 year old guy, you are doing great. There’s no end to the upper ceiling. Don’t fall in that.
I am on the same boat, brother, except I have permanent WFH. I have 14+ YOE and earn close to 1.5 lakh per month. I have 2 kids and get ample time to spend with my family. I also manage time to play cricket and am into fitness as well (not bodybuilding, but just enough to keep in shape).
I know many would envy this life, but when you look at the paycheck and wonder why I am earning so much less despite putting in efforts, I understand I need to earn more. Maybe it stems out of comparison with the others, but it's a good thing if it pushes us to grow. There are many companies that would pay more for the same effort.
I am working on myself and trying to find better pay. I would suggest you do it too. Peace will only come when we are at par with the friends we hang out with.
Makes sense.
At times I feel lucky to have wfh (lately they are pushing for 1 day a week wfo). And also feel lucky to have earned my own house and own car and staying with parents in my own 3bhk and maintaining chiseled muscular body. No responsibility for wife or kids.
And no major expense of time or money or efforts for travel to work and stuff.
But at times I feel like I should be earning atleast 28LPA at this experience and skillset.
But looking at the pathetic (3 months notice from current company) and (immediately joining requirement in new company) is making me indecisive.
And at the same time I am hearing people getting layed off aggressively and ruthless marketic conditions. I feel is it worth ditching this lifestyle at the moment ??
And I anticipate increase in politics and workload in current times at work.
1.45L in hand is month is good enough if you have peace of mind and good work culture. If your peace comes only from money then it may b less.
I am too much into fitness. I have chiseled muscles. Workout regularly.
8 yrs guy working with 22.5 LPA is not bad, also your work place is flexible and you seems to have good work life balance...to increase your salary you can do few things 1. find out what you need to do to get change in role with better salary in the same company ...probably you need to upskill to get another role in same company or another company with similar work life balance. 2. find similar role in different company with similar work life balance. i would recommend 1st option as AI / IT is evolving and people are losing jobs every day.
Kaunsi gali du
I think that's a very decent salary given that you wfh most of the days. Market is volatile and not comfortable in giving more than 22-25 LPA. Higher the salary more likey being replaced by someone with less pay.
That's okay bro don't sacrifice your peace just for some amount
Try looking out to start some business
Get the insights of your aspired role and organisation.. Salary, Hike, Promotion, Work Life Balance, Cost of living as per the location, etc
Ask yourself if you're ok to sacrifice whatever they have done for being in that job.
If yes, start preparing for such opportunities, it may take longer.
In case you're planning to get married, more expenses are waiting for you. As you can't stay anywhere as a bachelor.
If you move out, you've to make a budget for Rent, Food, Transportation, Maid, occassional trips, movies and the list goes on.
People stay paycheck to paycheck or even take loans to spend beyond their pocket capacity, get trapped for flexing their lifestyle and happiness socially.
Also, there are people whose parents have already sorted everything and hence they don't need to worry about the finances.
It's not about how much everyone is earning, it's about how much assets (net savings) they are actually building, and when do you see yourself as per your future goals.
More LPA comes with a more responsibility and possibly more work pressure, so if you want to switch carefully consider this too factor not every company can give you same environment

If you believe your current company cannot offer the salary increases or career advancement opportunities you expect, or if internal politics are holding you back, then changing jobs might be a reasonable option. Especially if you have considerable experience and skills, there are many high-paying opportunities available in the market. However, if you are currently satisfied with your life and your company can offer you more growth opportunities in the future, staying at your current company is also a valid choice.
You can start by actively researching salary levels, development opportunities, and work cultures at other companies to weigh your options. The final decision depends on your requirements for a job and your future career goals.
Please tell me your company name
Bro currently u r in which company?
If you enjoy your work stay. If not then leav.
Peace is more important . Earning more will always be there but sometimes peace is taken away in this process so my advice will be just be there and try for promotion for sometimes or may be hike.
Also, can u share your company name. I am looking for wfh job.
I have 10 years experience
I don’t have WFH (27KM) . Senior Java Developer at Oracle. I earn less than 20LPA. Completed 8 YOE. I have 2 kids 2yrd and 5 Yrs. Here work life balance is there. But I am not getting any growth here. I am in same designation from last 6 years and tech stack is too old.
Moderate workload but too much politics at work.
Thinking to switch job. Since I don’t have good pay, no WFH and too much politics.
It’s good decision to switch right?
as u r a mother wlb and peace of mind very important over money to take care of kid's growth so if u r husband earning enough money then u can focus on decent pay with good wlb wlb
Hi!
I don't know about your work location. But, Salary depends on many things which can be analyzed by a well experienced HR Analyst but still it is very difficult to analyze becase the salary varies to every company different according to your designation, rank and experiences you earned. If you want then you can switch for the following job vacancy which I have received from a online based Job Portal.
