Thought I'd share another leadership opportunity, this time for industry leaders in the Tech & Digital sector. Would love to connect with anyone who is a senior leader (MD / SVP) with deep experience in this sector alongside leadership experience in a TA / Growth or Client Relationship environment. Amazing opportunity to further establish and grow our presence with global leaders in Tech.

Hey, Chloe here (Career Coach) - if you're about to go into a career change, congrats - this is a huge deal and so many people hold themselves back here from fear, and stay in the same position.
Best bit of initial advice I can give you:
Write a list of:
- all your technical akills
- all your soft skills (key competencies)
- what you enjoy doing
- what you're 'good at' (as in, what do people go to you for, you're 'the person for')
- what is important to you
- what you're motivated by (money, progression, balance)
Then - once you've got all that down, go into Chat GPT or CHLOE AI (available on my website) and write the prompt "what roles and industries would be suitable for me based off my experience and skillset profile? (paste in your resume + answers to above questions).
See what it gives you, and that's a start!
Hope that helps - Chloe (www.chloecareers.com)
Abdolutely fab advice. Right on.
If I were you, I’d find some way to get into healthcare. If I had to switch careers right now and wanted to make a lot of money in the long run, I’d go to PA school. So many niche roles in healthcare that make 125-170k
I’ll give you a bit of a newsflash. Making money and being successful is difficult - things require investment. There’s not a magic button. My wife is a doctor and I supported her through all of med school + she and i have friends in various medical fields (including PAs). I think I know what I’m talking about lol
Making a career change can be discouraging when no one will call you back if your past roles don’t match the job title you’re applying for. From my experience, networking was the biggest thing for me to get an entry level role where someone was willing to take a chance on me. If you can find a mentoring program, it can make a huge difference to find someone more senior who can help give you advice. Other people might have other tips but that is what helped me the most!
I recently found a new career shift into financial education. It has been surprisingly rewarding work. 💖
I got out of retail sales and went to bank teller. I knew it was temporary because I went into healthcare. But I suggest first find something different with customer service since you’re in sales but do it with the goal in mind, like where do you want to be, what roles excite you? Try to seek some direction in something you want to do.
Don’t go become a PA if you have no healthcare background or interest in it. It’s a lot of school and that’s costly!
Other options are chose a trade, electrical and plumbing pay well. You can check out Home Depot’s website, they have free training videos for HVAC and construction.
Call centers are a good way to break out of retail too.
Best of luck!
Retail sales translates to a lot of things. Customer service, account management, even inside sales roles that pay better. The hard part is getting past the ATS, not the actual skills gap. If any of those sound good to you, look up relevant job titles and go read job descriptions. Figure out what kind of experience and qualifications they look for and then tailor your resume accordingly. AI is great for this sort of thing.
I did a career pivot/change about 15 years ago. I went from retail distribution to Accounting. I had returned to college for my accounting degree, and it took a recommendation from a friend of the family for me to finally land my first role in accounting.
I am now 50.
The company I work for has the most amazing culture. I am very fortunate. As a middle aged woman with a solid education, I had to be open to taking an entry level position and work my way up. I am not saying that you need to do this but maybe be open to doing so for the right company. Just sharing my experience and personal perspective. Wishing you all the best!
I’d serious consult - with AI.
Upload your resume - your interest and ask AI what are possible career fields / job titles your interest - skills - experience could qualify COMBINED with an AI Certification of some sort . If you’re not interested in doing that - then you’re most likely not interested in working . Why? Because whether we like it or not AI is here and it’s going to be integrated into the work place . You might as well see what AI certifications can compliment your skills , experience and interest and open doors for you - because OTHERS are doing that . You can ask what the demand for these jobs are - the potential salary - the time frame in getting the certification etc.
You may be suited for a certain type of position you never even thought of
