How do you navigate getting a referral on a platform like this? Genuinely curious on if HR/Recruiting asks how you know the person you're referring, or if they don't care where the referral comes from.
Really interested in a junior PM role at Razorfish. A close friend currently works for a different Publicis org, so not sure if a referral from them would mean anything.
If you are starting as an Audit Associate some time from now with Deloitte or any of the big 4, do they expect you to have passed/completed all 4 parts by the time you start? Received the Becker Reimbursement email from the recruiter not too long ago but have yet to start. I’ve seen plenty of people get to Senior at a big 4 firm without the CPA so I am a bit confused in that aspect. Any helpful feedback will be very much appreciated.

Would love to hear about your gardening leave experience, especially in the event production sector, i.e. Gartner, Forrester, etc. I’m planning my resignation and I’m unsure if I should plan my next endeavor around it. I plan to continue my career in event production but as an in-house producer for a solution provider, any advice would be greatly appreciated!
I interviewed for Data Analyst role at EY, it went well and the job sounds great, but I'm a bit hesitant to leave PwC because I really like the firm and I'm just 8 months in my job as an associate at a subgroup of ITS that has some focus on technology and analytics but it's mostly tax compliance.
I do want to transition to data analytics but I'm not sure if it's a good idea to go to another big 4, or maybe just look for a position in industry.
Any advice or similar experience?

The only thing is that I’d still want to start in December because I’m getting a 3k bonus in November. Should I mention the bonus as my reason for wanting to keep the December date even if I start working remotely from the US? Or just keep it simple and still suggest December without mentioning the bonus? I’m just worried that without context they might think I’m not interested, but I also don’t want to blow this. I already asked them to raise my salary by around 4K USD so I’m worried I’ll be pushing it.
3K is not worth it in the long term at all. But if they are asking about an early start date, you are definitely right to mention it! And most companies wouldn’t hesitate at 3k if they need you, especially if they are relocating you.
Pro
Think you have every right to mention it. Say you’re super interested, want to start with them and happy to sign contracts to commit but want to start after you’re guaranteed the $3k bonus.
They’ll have more context and can counter or respect that.
Just do some quick maths on the base salary difference as that’s 3 months away and you could be making 3k differences in base salary
You also know what projects you’re on now, what you want to do at next role etc.
Not sure on Timezone difference but working remotely internationally can be really hard as team meetings etc are at odd hours. Also means you’ll be onboarding remotely which has its own challenges.
Would you consider doing both jobs at once? Ramp one down while you ramp up on the other?
