Tretinoin is a game changer! I’d start incorporating this slowly, better to start slow and stay consistent
You can also get low dose tretinoin from Curology if you don’t want to go the doctor route
Hydroquinone is probably the best prescription product for uneven skin tone. Works well with prescription grade tret. You could ask about Botox for your eyelids, but I’ve read it’s kind of sketchy.
Other than that, moisturize and wear sunscreen everyday to preserve. I don’t think anything else really moves the needle.
I started Botox at this age. Since you started seeing wrinkles, it means your skin started the process of aging and eyes are the most vulnerable.
And the only prevention is Botox, you just need to find a really good aesthetician. I can recommend one in Boston area.
Also, at this age you should be using tretinoid/retinol, hyaluronic, exfoliate/peel twice a week just to preserve your skin.
If you’re up for boosting collagen production - laser pixel with PRP works for me, and I also did sculptra this year, but it’s a slow effect things.
There is a podcast Beauty Bytes with Dr. Kay, she has a lot of good advice
I never had a dermatologist, so I don’t know. I just woke up in the morning once when I was 38, noticed wrinkles and figured it was time for Botox. Then I went to a highly recommended cosmetology clinic and I asked a receptionist who was the best at injections. She said - Diego. So I went to Diego, I started with a minor injection, it was good, and I started coming for more. Two years ago he left that clinic and took sabbatical, so I tried other specialists and nobody came close. And then he texted me saying he started his own clinic, and I became his client. The only advice I can give is that look for someone with hospital experience. They did a lot of injections and that’s the only way to get good at stabbing someone with a needle
There are a million skincare products online that have brilliant claims when it comes to combating aging. Then there are medspas and cosmetic procedures. I don’t know what to believe. I need some real advice based on personal experiences. I have been stupid till now by not taking any preventative measures - use only basic products like - serum, moisturizer and eye cream. Haven’t done any chemical stuff, or laser, botox, fillers, tretenoin, etc. I have to take steps before I am 40 and things turn ugly lol. Please help 🌸
Vitamin A orally and on your face, and a few facial sessions a year. We are in the main tenge stretch you are about to pay for your face to slow down aging. Each face session 150-200 for about 2-4 times a year products extra $ of course . Micro needling, facials, or the new inventions of 2024z it brings out your healthy skin underneath an aging face [inevitable]
Men have the same fate.
But it will cost you. Lol
Gym, water, facials, vitamins.
But sounds like you have good genetics.
38! No wrinkles
35 , slight wrinklage, slight hoodage. Lol
At this point the only thing working for me are some good genetics (Some India 🇮🇳 mixed into my family tree, thank you Grandma!) and decent moisturization/ sunscreen.
Where do you suggest I go for some initial skin screening and recs for treatment regimen? Dermatologist or Medspa?
Thank you for all your love on my post ladies, much appreciated! Any chance you'll have tried AnteAge products? I was reading online about mindblowing results and wondered if it was myth or real.
