Maybe, maybe not. But take it and run. Lucky you.

Dude spend some time on this bowl and see all of us complaining about our jobs. Go to big tech. Congrats

Take big tech.

Congrats! Take it and run.
Likely no. Would investigate the life time earnings of the tech career path v. big law lawyer before making any decisions.

Is it a legal role in-house in tech or a biz role?
It's an engineering role, I was an engineer in big tech before law school
I’d be worried about AI in both law and tech as a person just starting out, to be honest. Both seem like risky bets. If you wanted to stay in law, I think criminal practice is likely more immune, though.
I've been an engineer in tech for over 6 years, but honestly I think law is pretty safe simply because lawyers can entrench themselves against AI
It would be really tough and next to impossible to break into big law if you don’t have any legal experience because your first job out of law school is non-legal. You would be making a sharp pivot out of law, which could be great.
There’s also more than just big law! Plenty of people strike out at OCI and can make it into big law later, it’s just a tougher road.
