Do you take the current economy into consideration when receiving job offers? For example you receive a good offer from a company like Meta/TikTok but are hesitant because they could be laying off soon or rescind an offer versus a lower offer at a more traditional and stable company that tends to be less reactionary with regards to layoffs? Not my current scenario but just curious. I would like to make a move from current employer but this economy has me spooked.

The son of the owner where I work has been coming to work with a gun showing it off to people. He got into an arguement, put his hands on another employee and threatened to put a 9 bullet in his head. I suspended him and opened an investigation. I need to protect the business & secure the victim to lessen the chance of him reporting this to EEOC or DHL. He's being a dad
