I'm a PA in NYC making $110k with 3 years of experience. Is this competitive, or should I be negotiating for more? What are others making in the metro area?

Honestly, $110k in NYC with 3 years of experience seems pretty low. With the cost of living and how competitive healthcare is here, I’d say you’re undervaluing yourself. You should definitely be negotiating for more, or even looking elsewhere if your current employer isn’t willing to match the market rate. You’ve got the experience—don’t settle for less than what you’re worth!

Currently an engineer in MCOL area with 4 years experience (post graduating, not counting experience before/during college and large side gigs). I have a BS/MS/PhD in engineering and an MBA in business analytics. Currently making 100k as an engineer IV. As an engineer with a functional knowledge (but no former training) in IT and data analytics, what are the best avenues to get to 200k without changing fields and starting at an entry level position (or moving to a HCOL area)?

Hello all,

I'm a PA in the PNW working for a private group staffing ED's in several hospitals. Recently the group has asked the PA's to take on a couple new roles (triaging and rapid track from triage i.e. straightforward ESI 4, 5). With these changes the PA's are considering asking for increased pay in the form of an addition of a COLA (cost of living adjustment) to our normal salary. Was wondering if any other PA's in the ED have these in their contracts and at what rate.

-Thanks
