I’m job hunting in Los Angeles, looking at a variety of titles (HRBP, Sr. HRBP, Manager, Sr. Manager, Director). I have 8 YOE and my SHRM-SCP. I reached my report limit on payscale.com, so I used a variety of other sites to price the roles (BLS, salary.com, Glassdoor, LinkedIn, Robert Half). The problem I’m having is the huge inconsistencies between sources (there are $40k differences between some of the identified medians). (Continued…)

Not possible. US police departments require officers to be a US citizen. Sponsorships for foreign citizens are not possible in this line of work.
Probably depends on the state you’re in. Kansas requires citizenship.
That may be true in a few small departments hard up for manpower but not “most”. Texas law requires police officers to be US citizens. NYPD requires US citizenship. California just passed a law (Jan. 2023) permitting permanent residents (green card holders) to be sworn officers. BUT, even if the state allows it, departments may not. For example, by law Washington State and West Virginia permit it, but NO department allow it.
But sponsorships for police jobs @ local level are 99% not possible.
