I’m a recent transplant into the industry coming from Tech. Was hired for my software skills, but I am now doing market research and generating trade ideas as well. Expectation is I will be trading as soon as I get up to speed. My desk (global macro) manages ~$1B. I sort of jumped in without setting expectations on bonus, and I don’t know what to expect / how I should negotiate if PM tried to lowball me (granted we do well this year). Any advice would be appreciated!

Is it difficult landing an in-house position as only a second year corporate associate in big law? I know some people who went in-house straight out of law school and some who had no transactional background but went in-house after just a year of practice. Not having that same luck on my end.

I was wondering if the review course “CPE Self Study Course” for the CFF was enough preparation to study and pass the CFF exam. The CFE review course was enough and like if you get a question wrong it explains it well so that when it comes up in a different way in the real exam you can still get it. But when I saw the outline for the CFF material and there seems to be a lot of topics so I was wondering if the review course was sufficient considering this exam is also multiple choice. Thanks!
