It's on the low side, especially if it comes with a lot of additional responsibilities/work. Might be worth using your new title to job hunt and see what you can find.
Good take
Title means more stress and expectations, that should come with more money.
Exactly nothing in life is free
maybe they were paying well at the top of the range so when promoted not a big raise? depends where u r and how big of a firm i'd expect a first year senior to make in high 70k to mid 80k in middle cost of living.
Pro
Also does that include any kind of merit increase or is the timing different for that? Need to keep that in mind because alot of places promote at the same time of annual compensation increases. From my experience I’ve seen promotion increased be anywhere from 7-15% but then usually there is another 4-10% merit increase which makes it 11-25% total comp increase.
Congratulations on the promotion, but you are right, that raise doesn't seem like enough. I would be happy about the new title but I would probably start looking elsewhere. It doesn't hurt to see what you can get paid for that role somewhere else.
