Been here 1.5 years and was told I was getting a management promotion 5-6 months ago.Still no solid traction and they are opening up a req for it 😑no one on the current sales team has ever been promoted (2 years)except our boss who has been promoted 3 times. I joined KPMG a while ago from federal consulting. Federal consulting had super good work life balance but I’ve been working at KPMG strategy for a while now. The hours are wild, my managers expect perfection, and I feel like it’s all meaningless. Does anyone else feel like this, how have you dealt with it, and is it like this once you go into industry?

I'm a Consulting Associate and have been with RSM since Fall 2020. I make 75k in Chicago - I think I'm underpaid(?). I get DMs from Big4 and I'm thinking about moving firms. Should I wait for the promo/bonus on Aug. 1 or just start looking now? I know for a fact I'll be getting promoted to Senior.
