Is it worth it to upgrade my IAD-SFO RT flight to first class for $1000 RT to make it to the next tier?

Is United still halting full meal service for first class flights > 2 hrs? Website says they just serve sandwiches and a snack box.

I am trying to get into PWC. here are a few things I have heard so far. Is this fairly accurate?

1. PwC AC is offshore counterpart of PwC US. Good salary. No travel opportunities. Average yearly hike ~10% Mostly technical work.
2 PwC India is a pure consulting firm. Salary better than PwC AC. client facing work. Can grow as a management consultant. Great Travel opportunities.
