I’m about to decline an offer solely because they refused to put their flexible work-from-home policy in writing in the actual offer letter. During the interviews, the hiring manager promised me that everyone works from home on Mondays and Fridays, but HR refused to add that amendment to the employment contract, stating it's a discretionary policy. To me, if it isn't signed in ink on the contract, it can be deleted by a corporate memo on my second week of employment. Am I being entirely too paranoid?

currently tossing up between staying at a global company (who is in the process of some positive changes) with an amazing manager who supports my career and flexible working … however comes with the inherit issues that come with a long standing global company

compared with a role at a smaller mga, higher salary (around 30%) more , more visibility career wise and some great employee benefits , management seem to be supportive and low staff turnover

which would you choose here

“Keep costs down”???? I am happy to keep costs down by not working on this ducking matter anymore. Maybe stop saying yes to matters that are too small to justify our rates and staffing an expensive senior person on them when you’re already dying trying to get anything staffed. You didn’t have to do shit on this matter, didn’t hear you complaining about my taking the lead and managing everything for you when that was happening. >.>
