I know all the salary posts are annoying, but I really think I am underpaid. What’s your salary for consultant level B, FS SE?
Do Deloitte and EY offer higher comp for Non-MBA masters degrees? Or is it like PwC where comp is same for all degrees that are non-target MBAs?
Hello! What is a realistic % of equity to negotiate as an incoming Business Analyst w/ 1.5 years of experience at a series B startup in Chicago? I am planning on providing three scenarios with combinations of base salary + equity and want to ensure I'm targeting the right number.
I live in and absolutely love California. No other state compares in my mind (industry, career opportunities, salary, culture, diversity, food, weather, landscape, political inclination, etc). If I were to consider temporarily (2-3 years) moving to another state to accumulate more wealth on the way to FI, what states (specifically cities) would make me least miserable?
do you ask to know the salary of a job during the first interview or do you go through the whole process (could be 2 total interviews, could be 5) to ask? The interview process is such a mental and time drain that I honestly don’t even want to go through it unless I know the salary is something Im interested in.
I have recently started feeling completely apathetic about this job. I have 0 stress cause I don't care. The 0 stress has led to good project experiences, but I have no will to work. Contd..
At what salary point did you feel “content” if ever? At $90k, and I’ve always figured once I got to $200k I’d be “good” and chill out, thoughts on that?

What’s your trick/method to speed up deck development process when it’s a last minute request from client, requires new content and you have no templates or example decks to leverage? Im a very thorough and detailed oriented person who has trouble delivering “just enough”. Client just informed me of urgent needs that require me to deliver detailed materials by tomorrow, no existing examples for me to leverage.
How do you deal with a partner who makes you feel terrible about not just your work but yourself? This is a female partner who is older and a leader in her practice area. She comments on how I speak and it veers into personal criticism. Anything I offer to a project she shuts down, but if her favored paralegal says the same thing, she publicly praises her. I feel like they tag team me and unfortunately I can't completely stop working with them.
Anyone have opinions on Citi Private Client? Law firm offers it but have never thought to use it.

Anyone think CSR worth it if you have left consulting? I have left consulting as of today. Primarily, evaluating only from a financial perspective.
I have a student with autism. He is mostly behavioral and at a lower learning level so he has to be in a separate classroom. We try to let him play with the students at recess or join in class parties. He has a sibling that attends school as well. When we were waiting in car line a group of girls talked about how they feel so bad for the sibling because of my student. Thankfully, neither student or sibling heard. But how do I respond to that as an adult? Especially, if they do hear?
So last month a started a job (mgmt level) that I took in part because nothing else was on the horizon and I was becoming anxious about money. The minute I accepted this job I started getting calls from recruiters from bigger name companies with more interesting sounding (but individual contributor) jobs. I feel a certain FOMO but on the other hand part of me is starting to get comfortable. Should I still keep interviewing if recruiters call? Or should I focus on maximizing my current job?
I think I’m finally going to put my 2 weeks in. I’m so unhappy with my job and my mental health is in shambles right now. I don’t have any offers lined up yet but I also need a break in general. I’m only a little bit worried about not getting a steady paycheck. Has anyone felt this? How did you manage?
Any insight on bdo interviews?
Guys, would a udacity nanodegree be considered by USCIS to be a valid degree for visa purposes? Planning to do one soon

I had a Sheraton I’m staying in this weekend and reach out to me to say “Please note, that corporate rates are for business travel only and require proof of eligibility.” While I have no issues showing proof of eligibility, I’m on traveling for vacation. I thought we could use our rate codes for leisure travel too. Regardless I’m going to tell them I’m going for work but just curious if they spread fake news. Accenture

Good morning and welcome to my home office! I've got my coffee and am looking forward to responding to your questions with Zoe and Ron. I was raised by a single parent in upstate NY (far from NYC!). I've had to ask a lot of questions in my career and look forward to hearing yours!

I’ve been wondering this but has anyone had any long term health effects from consulting? I think with all the long hours, stress, and everything else that comes with it that it is likely to have physical and mental health effects.
