Considering an offer to go from firm (4 YOE) to become a privacy/product counsel for a tech company (non-faang). One concern for me is the potential of a recession in late 22 into 23 with the fed rate hikes. My fear is if that happens, me being on the chopping block as new in house counsel. So i have been fortunate that i have managed to go through my career without the need for a degree. I was lucky enough to have been hired by one of the worlds top consulting firms, worked with a whole lot of big clients and travelled a lot.
