5-7% after first year at KPMG
- campus hire
- advisory (consulting)
- starting $69k
I concur for KPMG. I went from (approximate numbers):
85K (start) > 90K (Y1) > 95K (mid year) > 100k (Y2)
Midyear adjustment was compression due to the new hires starting at 95k. So basically 5K (5-7%) every time. Seems to be in line or better than with everyone else I chat with. Comp communicator also told me 5.something% was the average raise for associates in my group.
Glassdoor is a great place to find salary info. They own fishbowl now so I think you might already have an account.
Entry-level salary trends will vary between firm, sector, market, performance, and other factors. Best to compare yourself to other entry-level people at your firm. That will be harder at a boutique of course.
A ~10.25% annualized raise internally with no promo is seems pretty good right now!
I started at 65k salary out of college, went to 82k after half a year (after I moved from DC to LA), 92k Y2, and 104k Y3
Started at BAH right after school. 1yr in 3% raise, then promotion 6 months later ~12% raise.
Started at 75k
