Focus on niche EA roles, smaller firms, etc. EAs will always be in demand. It’s the mega corporations that will soon see issues arise when they realize offshoring will lead to greater disorganization & data breaches.
Learn as many software packages as you can….make yourself well versed in company policies and procedures….lean into more accounting…people are always going to have to pay and send invoices, work on events and travel, etc….
You can always find some type of training on YouTube or google….and there is typically someone at most offices who is willing to share their knowledge….yes, you may have to pay for some courses, but it is an investment in your future!
I’m hoping that once I finish my MBA I’ll be able to transition into consulting or a finance role. I didn’t anticipate AI throwing a wrench in this plan so we’ll see how it goes.
