Truth be told I have never been through onboarding via remote. It’s a bit of a struggle. It’s taking forever to get access to certain resources and my assigned mentor is always underwater. How is everyone dealing with this? My manager seems hard to please in our first couple 1:1s.

I'm a software engineer, and I've been working remotely for my entire career. I love the flexibility and autonomy that remote work gives me, but there have definitely been times when it's been hard to feel like I'm on an even playing field with my colleagues in the office.

Need some feedback! So I was forced to move jobs about 6 months ago due to reorg and the new leader opting to bring their existing EA with them, without even meeting me. If stayed at the company but accepted an offer for a job outside of the department I was in. I’ve now been asked by a manager from my old department to apply for a job they’re opening that would be a 2 step promotion. She thought she got my managers permission to approach me (see comments)

Do you find working remotely during this time that you’re having a harder time staying on top of everything that’s going on? With the scattered communication and a boss who hasn’t been as focused and can be hard to pin down, I sometimes think I’m giving 150% but something ends up lagging and I’m just wiped out. (Context - trying to decide what title to recommend for EAs in our org who now manage people. Currently, we have multiple levels, but all EAs have the "Executive Assistant" title regardless of seniority / level / manager status.)

Hi Everyone, I’m looking for advice. Right now I’m currently facing a hard decision. I’ve been at my work for 5 months as an HR assistant and have been given the opportunity to take on the Executive Assistant role. I’m in my early 20’s and still unsure what career path I want to take. I know I want to keep moving up and doing more but again, not sure where I want to be.
