I’m curious if anyone talks politics at work? I’ve just realized that everyone on my team keeps things pretty neutral, and I genuinely have no idea which way anyone leans. I kind of think it’s a breath of fresh air because everyone in my personal life seems to be polarized one way or the other.

Yeah same here. My team keeps it professional, and honestly, I appreciate it. It creates space to focus on the work without the tension that can come with political debates. With everything going on in this administration, and the non stop onslaught of bad news, political neutrality at work feels like a rare pocket of calm.

Exactly. It is so nice to still have a space I can exist in outside of the political realm

I'm a political person, but I will not be discussing that in my workplace. When any of my colleagues make a joke or political comment, I just pretend I don't hear it. I personally think there's nothing to be gained and everything to be lost by discussing politics with colleagues. If you agree politically with your coworkers, great. But if you don't? It could be really tense in the office. I just prefer to avoid it.

Oh honestly it is a sign of a great workplace if you don’t know your colleagues political leanings. I wish that was the case in my office because we have some guys who will force their political beliefs into every conversation when they can. And it is almost like they are trying to be edgy and make the rest of us feel uncomfortable.

It’s hard because politics affects every aspect of our life but I do think it csn make the workplace a very difficult place to be so it’s often easier just to try and keep out of it.

I do whatever I can to avoid getting into political squabbles at work. And that's really what they are these days, I wouldn't even call them discussions. Back when people read newspapers and aspired to hold intelligent conversations you could discuss things. Now it's just people trying to trigger each other with some gibberish they picked up on social media. Life's too short for that stuff.

Nooo, I feel like that’s a very personal thing that should be kept away from the office. People can easily have an idea of who you are and maybe even treat you differently because of your views.

Hi LTI Fishes, I am new to this variable included pay structure. From my first company to current I am getting fixed pay only. So, I know how to calculate my in-hand salary with that. I can see here 10% is variable pay. I have some questions,

1. How much will be in-hand salary?

2. Is there any hidden component which may deduct from my salary?

3. How variable pay will be paid? monthly or quarterly or annually?

4. How much variable pay we will get by Average?
