Cleared Accenture Skill interview by answering almost all the questions and received congratulatory mail for HR round and submitting all documents. Then after a week received a call from HR saying that due to some technical issue, the skills round will happen again and an online assessment was set up. In the assessment, questions which were not directly related to the profile were asked and then a rejection mail was received. Does this happen a lot?

Yes, it’s a sad reality. As soon as I told previous interviewers about my situation the tone in the convo definitely changed.

Don’t mention it. Just tell them “I’ll need to give (x amount) of notice to my current employer.” And leave it at that.
I wish things were different for moms, but they’re not yet.
As a pregnant US citizen in a red state, I am simultaneously happy for you and so upset by this post.

Same here. My emotional rollercoaster consisted of:
1.) DONT TELL THEM ANYTHING EVER.
2. ) I can’t imagine having the option to be home with my baby the entire year. 🤯 The US is so broken that we force women back to work immediately.
3.) I can’t believe women still have to act like we’re not parents to get ahead and prove we can do a job.
