I'm currently on matleave in Canada (12 months). My kid is 7months and I am in the process of interviewing again. I do not mind going back to work earlier than expected. I've had a couple of interviews where I leave out that I'm on matleave. Should I mention that I'm currently not at work? I feel like people's attitude changes when I do mention that I am currently on leave.

Hi tcs fishes please let me know what can I infer. I had a round with tcs where the interviewer asked basic questions about my work experience for 10 mins, no technical cross questions. And told I will let the hr know. I felt it weird. Can you please tell does it mean I am rejected?

What would your reaction be if the company you applied to asked for you to get permission from your current firm before moving forward? Growing up was rough. On my 8th birthday my dad had an accident that led to this death a few days later. He was a good man who took care of us all (I had 3 siblings now 2; lost 1 few years ago). I'm in a good place in life right now I only find myself in the last 5years shedding a tear once a while when I'm alone. It startles me because I was a tough kid who didn't cry and just soaked it all in and rolled with it. I'm almost 40 and can't explain what's happening with these tears.

I quit my previous job approximately 5-6 months ago due to toxic culture and being pressured to commit fraud… I fear hiring managers see that I’ve been out of work for this time and may assume I was fired or laid off. Additionally I’ve had a couple interviews where company “X” interviewers have commented on this and in an effort to not bad mouth my previous employer I’m stuck with a generic answer like I want to take my career to the next level with Company “X.” Any thoughts/advice?

How feasible to change role at Visa inc

New midlevel associate at a big law firm and still ramping up. I’m having a lot of trouble tackling small or discrete tasks that are either administrative in nature or otherwise because I don’t have a full plate and something to focus on. I feel bad stopping in the middle of the day and doing something else (e.g. watching tv)since I’m already not billing many hours, but my brain feels all over the place and think that may be the only solution. Anyone have exp. with this or advice?

Hello fishes, I received offer letter from Mindtree and uploaded the documents on their onboarding portal. But now I have a better offer in hand and hence will not be joining Mindtree. Do I have to worry about thr uploaded documents ? Does document upload confirm thay I will join Mindtree amd hence cannot join any other company?
