Hi, I need a referral for an internship
in Financial Advisory Team
Valuation, M&A, FDD, or Financial
Consulting - at Big 4 in Germany,
can anyone help me?
I did my bachelor's degree at the
University of Mannheim.
I would appreciate any kind of
support and advice.
I'm not above reaching out to alumni
directly via Linkedln, but l'd prefer to
bug as few as possible. So if you
want to help, guide, or mentor,
please pm me.

Deloitte experienced hires, who all received written offers and in process of visa/ onboarding, have you heard back anything about hiring freeze? Or recruiter asked you to delay joining date?
My visa got submitted couple of days back and waiting for decision. When I reached out to recruiter to give her an update and mentioned once there’s decision will discuss on the start date before putting my 2 weeks, she mentioned “Yes, we should talk before you put notice” - Am I overthinking? I’d say it depends on what your long term goals are. If you plan on staying at whichever role you choose, I’d go with option 2/the insurance role. If you plan on eventually leaving, I’d go with option 1/the AGC role - you can stay for a couple years and use it as leverage for something better, using the distance and 5-days in person as an explanation as to why you decided to leave (there are plenty of hybrid and remote in house roles out there). I think it’d be harder to find future in house roles with option 2 since insurance is super hard to get out of.
TLDR: option 2 is definitely the best option if you don’t plan on leaving that industry or specific role. Option 1 for future growth potential.
