PwC 🐠, I interviewed with the firm about 6 months ago for a Senior Associate position on the forensics team. I wasn’t extended an offer because the position was given to an internal transfer, at least what I was told. I tried reaching out to the recruiter I worked with last time but the email bounced back and wouldn’t be delivered. I was hoping to see / reapply if the group still was looking for seniors.
In your opinion, would it be best to reapply as a cold application?

Get rid of the husband. Obviously.
no dog? let someone else "rescue" it
Take your husband to meet the dog and maybe it'll melt his heart?
Otherwise, I wouldn't get the dog. Having a new living thing in the house effects all family members, so everyone should be on board. Otherwise you're asking for marital issues and resentment.
If the marriage is bad, then leave and get the dog then 😁
Can’t do much. Both of you need to be completely onboard for the sake of the dog. You can try to alleviate specific concerns he may have
A pet is a two yeses situation
If you are feeling the need to nurture, maybe discuss doing a foster dog with your husband
Why don’t you guys think about fostering instead? This is what my SIL does… fosters dogs for a few days every now and then while the shelter works on getting them adopted. She loves dogs but also likes everything super clean / germ free and travels a lot… this is her middle ground.

The reality is many foster dogs have issues that require more attention, patience and effort. If someone in the house doesn’t want a dog, this probably isn’t the solution.
Bring it home and let him be mad at you for 3 weeks. That’s how my dad brought our dog home. My mom was mad for a month and then she fell in love with the dog 🐕 and she lived with us for 15 years 🥰

Volunteer at your local shelters, you can even walk the animals.
