I applied with EY for a Senior Manager role I had my first stage interview with a senior manager, which I thought went well as I got the partner interview 2 weeks later, and said I'll be contact within 10 day HR. This did not happen so I chased up. Today I received feedback from HR stating that the senior manager, who would have been my peer, said I didn't have enough experience. But the partner who I would have been working under did like me.
Is this normal with EY recruitment

I did that , even tho I preferred it than retail it was not in my nature to push drug sales. Left it after 2 years and followed another path

It depends what you are looking for in your professional career whether it’s short or long term. “Worth it” holds a different meaning depending on the person.
Do it as your entrance into industry. Make the connections you need to, then pivot. From there you can go into Medical Affairs like MSL or Regulatory like pharmcovigilance. Any chance you get to switch to industry take it, even if it is a pay cut and even more if it is a pay raise.
