I'm in a weird spot and am not sure what to do. I had my annual review a couple months ago and ended up not getting a raise. My boss gave me some bs reason. So now I'm angry and have about a dozen interviews set up. But tonight I went on one of those salary websites and it turns out my base salary is actually already at the top of what the company pays anyone. Now my attitude is too bad, I'll find another company that pays more. But I wonder if I'm being greedy or they r just cheap.

Comforting others:
When someone tells me bad news regarding their health, I say everything I am supposed to say (I’m sorry to hear that, I’m here for you, etc) EXCEPT “everything is going to be ok”. Because I can’t guarantee that and I really don’t know if everything is going to be ok. I was taken aback recently when a friend told me I am calloused and cold-hearted for not being able to say those words. Is she right? Should I start saying this for the purposes of providing comfort only??

My fiancé will NOT stop talking about her ex. After I found out they were texting arguing she justified it by saying it was about the dogs and not them. Even though Her social media is full of his pics. She still sends him $50 a month for dog food, still goes to work right by his place and suspiciously needs keys. I try to bring it up and I get dismantled for being too mean and making “false accusations.” How much more obvious can it be?

Received an offer for non- tech CCM role and wondering if I should accept. I feel like I was lowballed and downleved despite having 6 YOE (relevant but not in tech). Not sure it will be beneficial to leave my current role for this offer to get my foot in the door.

Aug 2020- 65k base salary
Jan 2022- 80k base salary
July/Aug 2022- 110k base salary

What’s a good salary for BlackRock Financial Tech Implementation Consultant - Associate level?

Hi all,

After the final interview, HR reached out and said they would like to extend an offer. HR gave a ball park of 135k - 145k base with about 15k in sign-on equity and 20k annual bonus.

After a couple of days, HR person came back with with 125k base and 20k annual bonus. No sign-on equity anymore. What should I do given that these numbers seem way lower than the initial range provided? HR claimed it’s because of “market conditions”.

How much is “market” comp for a 5th year, general civil lit, AmLaw 200 defense firm with usual benefits (health, dental, 401k match up to 6%). I’m LA based. TIA
