I want to earn good money without compromising on WLB.
This is my profile
1 year at a Fintech firm in Product role (Current Role) in Gurgaon
1 year at PwC as Consultant 1
MBA (Finance) grad Skills: SQL, Excel, Power BI, Client Issues, Jira for bug reports and tracking team activities, etc.
Any companies that anyone can suggest? Any other skills that I should pick up? Current base pay is 10 LPA. I feel a bit underpaid.
Want to stay in similar business analyst, product analyst roles.

I mean one firm pays 2 - 4x the other firm on average, while the firm that doesnt pay the higher wages thinks its the same tier and will work you the same...

It’s not much different. Everybody that says mbb has bad WLB couldn’t either get in or don’t jnow how to set boundaries. Yes projects are aggressive yes hours are long but it’s the same everywhere. I can pick people from any big consulting firm and show you that some of them are on bad projects some not. Go to bcg they are a great firm. One of ny friends has been there six years and I’ve been at d for 5. Both aren’t much different but bcg is way bettwr in quality of work people perks and $$
As a principal you will have a lot of support in bcg. You wont have to sell you ahve to focus on delivery and relations. In Deloitte you’ll have to bend yourself like a pretzel and sell write papers write pov’s build train coach etc etc
SA1 you ok?
Having been at Deloitte and BCG, I agree that BCG is the choice.
WLB is worse here on average, but everything else more than compensates for that.
That said, joining BCG at the Principal level (or really any level at PL or above) is notoriously difficult. The deck is stacked against you, and it will be a grind to prove yourself with juniors + seniors quickly enough to do well. I’m sure it’s similar joining at the SM level at Deloitte.
Might be worth making the move, but it’s important to come in with your eyes wide open.

Senior Manager / Principal level specifically, if that helps
