I work as what’s internally called a product specialist. more of a customer success role where we are highly trained in the product itself to serve our customers and work closely with the PM/Engineering teams to advocate for enhancements/escalate technical issues.
I’m hoping to one day be able to pivot to product management work. While I have a high amount of customer facing experience, I do not have as much technical/design experience. Any advice on what to do to gain the necessary experience?

Has anyone done an MBA and was it helpful?
I’m a 6-year Canadian lawyer working in a regional but fairly large firm (Canadian standard). I am thinking of taking time off and go do an MBA and transition into an in-house position, at a managerial level. I understand that an mba won’t make myself a better lawyer, but I am curious to know if having an mba and a law degree would make myself a more suitable candidate for in-house positions. Thank you!

I just started this job a month ago with an IT startup. And it’s not going as I had hoped. Both founding partners have different implementation approach, this one says one thing, the other says another thing. The only constant thing is the guy who brought me in. I feel like I’m drowning in this role and nothing I do seems to be “their way” of doing things. I get tense at the thought of clocking in for work. How soon is too soon to switch jobs. I AM NOT OKAY

Had titles of UXD and IXD working on enterprise applications in agencies, mostly related to financial services/asset management. I want to step away & join a product team for SaaS/emerging tech, but I got an offer for a Design Lead role at a financial services company a headhunter submitted me for.

Will accepting it pigeonhole my career? Certainly don’t want to entertain banking or financial services after even if it goes well, but the title will finally move me up to the sr/lead level

Hi everybody,

Hi, I'm kehan, graduated from SVA. Recently I've been looking for a UX position.
Any suggestions for this resume?
I have three human-centered design study experiences; which position would you recommend I apply for as my starting role in the US workplace? Right now, my website is more focused on UX design + UX research, but I'm willing to try other positions.
Based on my resume, what company should I apply to? Thank you all:)

Well it’s been heck of a week. Rejected from two start ups, but I guess after enough rejection, I just don’t feel for it anymore. Could be a good or a bad thing. Lesson learned though, I have been chasing payout of joining rather than sitting down and figuring out what I like to do and then focusing on opportunities in that area. This clearly isn’t a winning strategy, but I also haven’t been able to figure out what I like to do. Good luck out there peeps!
