I'm in product management and received an offer to join a new firm. I come with direct industry experience and was given an offer that was at the low end of their publicized range. I countered and told them I expected to be at the high end (without giving numbers) given the leadership and track record I bring (20 yrs exp). I bring deep vertical knowledge for a household brand and was referred to this company internally.

What's the current trend on receiving a reply? It's been 24 hours. Thanks.

This might require approval from several people, so 24 hours isn't that bad. I once had a company tell me they wouldn't increase the offer, only for them to come back 3 days later with a better offer.

Reach out them today and see if respond. If they are considering upping the offer they should be somewhat responsive.

It seems like a lot of companies are pretty brazenly lowballing candidates these days, no matter where they came from/how they became candidates.

You may not hear back at all, and if that happens I hope you rest well knowing you know your worth and aren't going to accept being lowballed.

M1, and undoubtedly someone will pay someone with that much experience more than the bottom of their own stated range. OP is already employed and does not thirsty enough to be looking for water at the bottom of a dumpster.

I am looking for director and role in product management. Can you help with some tips in private message?

Update, The hiring manager responded yesterday requesting a call today. In the end, they only increased their low ball offer by $15k, and so I declined. It's a jungle out there, but never settle for less than you're worth. It was a laughable offer. TC would only have been $10K above my current comp. Total sideways move not worth it.

Let us know if they come back with a better offer.

I just left a very toxic work place.
The crazy thing is they were just named the best local municipality to work for. It's upsetting. They advertise a "culture" but don'tapply it. It felt like a used car sales pitch, I was sold a dream but given junk. I am constantly replaying moments. I have read so many books and everything leads to they were the problem. How do I recover from this?

Can anyone of you please help in calculating how much will be my income tax per month(I am availing the Old tax regime)? Different IT calculators show different figures, not sure which is correct :(

And as for the interest amount in the Savings Account and Fixed Deposits, do both fall under "Income from Interest"? Or under "Other Income"? Or does Interest amount in Savings account fall under "Interest from Deposits - 80TTA"?

The figures are given in the screenshot 👇🏻

Can anyone tell me if there are Customer Success Managers, etc positions that manage customers post sale and have a similar range base as me with commission plans? I think it’ll somewhat improve QOL but with parking, insurance, gas and financing costs I’m not sure spending almost 1K/month is a good idea at 22.

The other problem is that used cars are so damn expensive right now so I can’t just buy a used mx5 for 5-10K

Interviewing at a dream company, and right from the first interview the recruiter told me we are way off on salary expectations. This was a little bit expected, as the role is requiring a few years less experience than I have and also in a much cheaper market. They already told me the salary range during this first call, but wondering if they like me enough and I get an offer, how I might approach negotiating for more. I would be making much less than I do now, but it is a dream company.

I expect to be asked at some point, but my research has given me a VERY broad range. So I’m here to do a bit more research.
