There will always be some companies that bare minimum degree requirements, but it really does seem like that isn’t as common as it used to be. Having any kind of proven record, number improving examples, are very valuable and will absolutely take you far.

You can do amazing in sales without a degree.

You will have a harder time getting some sales jobs. Sales engineering comes to mind.

If you are already getting experience it probably doesn't matter that much whether or not you get a degree. Unless you plan on going into something else other than sales. If you are staying in sales then getting experience is what matters most.

I had a job interview for a role that I really want. The hiring manager scheduled me for an interview and did not show up. Emailed me an hour later stating that he got super busy and couldn’t attend, and would like to reschedule. This is a major red flag, but I can’t help but feel that I am missing out since this role pays 50% over what I currently make. Should I let the recruiter know? What’s your take on this?

“Job hopper” and “quiet quitting” are all schemes made up by boomers to make you think everything is the employees fault. When in reality people are just getting out of bad situations. Older companies do whatever they can to pay you the least amount and get the max work out of you. Except our generation will just leave amid we’re being mistreated, not complain for 35 years making 50k and 0 advancement.

My company blames my generation for not being able to hire everyday. “You guys don’t want to work” coming from some overweight, racist, old coaster. I’ve barely taken any days off this year and pick up “skeleton crew” days any chance I get. I was able to work out a deal with my company before I came because of prior experience luckily, but they offer a terrible base salary and sham of a commission structure to new hires + no remote. Then sit here and can’t figure out why…
