Disney Streaming Services I completed my interview process with DSS early last week, and was reached out by recruiter that all rounds were strong hires, and they are extending an offer. We set a time to talk on Friday about the offer. However, the announcement of targeted hiring freeze happened on Friday. I was ghosted with no call. What should I expect now? Would I still have chance to be offered?
Hi Fishes,
I am currently working world's largest beer company. I have current CTC of 25 LPA and I am expecting hike of 10% at least within the company.
I got interviewed at Pepsi Co for Lead -2 position and have cleared all the rounds. How much can I expect, I have just asked 30% on current CTC.
Please do let me know as it will be very helpful. Do they provide relocation allowance, do i need to submit any documents for them. Also, do they offer any joining bonus?

Hi fishes, My interview with Microsoft for SE2 was scheduled and cancelled a day before. Neither I received any email regarding cancellation nor the recruiter informed me. Two days later I got an email saying Microsoft is freezing hiring for certain departments and the recruiter is ghosting me. Will I even get a chance to interview atleast?

I *always* mention my boyfriend during the interview process. I try to sneak it in casually and in a way that makes sense. For example, the reason I moved from one company/location to another was because my boyfriend had an opportunity that lead us there.

Wear heels to the interview and see how they react 😜
Yassss but it’s all on video now. I guess I could zhuzh up my face with some paint. 💄
Ask about their diversity employee groups and what initiatives HR has taken to ensure a safe, respectful and supportive workplace. If they tiptoe around the answer or BS, you know it’s not good.
I’m actually talking to the CEO. I’ll ask him his approach to this directly.

Ask to have an additional, separate interview with company - specifically you want to interview with an active member of their D&I/LGBTQ B/ERG (too many fucking acronyms).
Doing this does several things:
- shows you if they have actually have said B/ERG (and what kind)
- shows your confident in your professional skills enough to go one more round of interviews beyond what they require
- shows you if they’re willing to invest more of their time to answer your questions that are not just on their checklists
- shows you care more about the role and the paycheck
- shows your willing to ask the tough questions during what is traditionally seen as an challenging interaction.
- (if you get the additional interview time) it shows you who you would be working/interacting with at the B/ERG, what their priorities are, how much value the org places into it, etc.
Source: I’ve done this a couple times in my career. It makes heads turn, in a good way.
I don’t think it’s inappropriate to ask to speak to another LGBTQ+ employee but I think you would still have to lead into it with a D&I/ERG question during the interview. It might actually make more sense to ask to speak to an LGBTQ+ employee once you get an offer. Still ask about D&I etc. in the interview(s) - make sure you ask all your interviewers D&I-ish questions. If you get an offer, you could be even more upfront and say “as an out [gay man/woman/LGBTQ+ person], I am curious our firm culture and, if possible, I would love to speak with another LGBTQ+ employee.”
I always ask about diversity and inclusion / ERGs.
“What is the firm doing to foster a diverse and inclusive workplace for employees as well as from a recruiting standpoint?”
“Do you have employee resource groups? Which ones? Since you are a smaller man, boutique firm, is there critical mass in these ERGs to develop and execute on any initiatives?”
Check out if they have podcasts or YouTube channel. See how prominently they feature LGBT and people of color.

Depends how important it actually is to you. Interviews are a two way street, be point blank and ask them
Fairly important. I will definitely ask them directly. It’s always a toss up in consulting as there are people who are of the mindset that “client is king” and all prejudices are forgiven when $ is involved. I have yet to come across a leader who thinks differently. :/
